Car parking bays installed at new co op in Hexham

first4playgrounds have just completed an installation of car parking bays at the new Co-oprative in Hexham. The car park consisted of 8 standard parking bays 4.8m x 2.4m, a disabled bay with hatching and a hatched area for deliveries.

Snakes and Ladders Ferryhill, Chilton

Our team firstly installed a 1-64 Snakes and Ladders. This is a great game that the children really enjoy, also helping them practice numeracy.


A-Z Snake Ferryhill, Chilton

Next we installed an a-z Snake which is a colourful way for children to practice literacy and to learn the alphabet.

We then crafted a world map with the continents in different colours to help the children learn and remember geography.

Finally a UK map was installed with each country in a different country, this is great for children to learn the UK map and where they live on it.

first4playgrounds are pleased to announce a new playground game to add to their catalogue of playground markings.

Phonics are a method of teaching children to read by correlating and recognising sounds with symbols in the alphabet. Phonics are now recommended as the first strategy that children should be taught in helping them to learn to read. Children are taught the sounds first, then match the letters to them.  Phonic frog is a fun way for children to learn the symbols whilst having fun jumping from sound to sound.

One of which was a dartboard. The dartboard is great for helping children to practice numeracy and addition.

For young children practicing numeracy, the 1-36 Snakes and Ladders is perfect. Played just as the famous board game.

Firstly our team crafted a Mirror Me game, this two player game is a great and colourful way for children to develop coordination and active play. The game is made up from two large circles, 8 x 200mm multi coloured thermoplastic circles with 2 footprints in the centre.

Skip circles can be used for skipping competitions between the children e.g. who can skip for the longest etc. Not only fun playground exercise.
